ANALISA USAHATANI BAWANG MERAH DI KECAMATAN DANAU KEMBAR KABUPATEN SOLOK

Abstract

This research  was conducted for one months (from 21 July – 21 Agust 2022) with the aims to describe the cultivation techniques of Red Union and to analyze revenues and profits received by the farmers in the research site. The data for this study then were analyzed qualitatively and quantitatively. The research finds that the cultivation technique of the red union in the research site was not in accordance with the existing literature. It is found that revenue of the farming was Rp 15.194.654,22/land area or equal to Rp 92.864.454,47/Ha. Meanwhile  profit earned by the farmers was Rp 9.383.065,84/land area or equal to Rp 57.458.553,94/Ha. While R/C ratio of the farming was 2,62 which means investation of Rp 1,- will given revenue of Rp 2,62 and profit of Rp 1,62. Based on the findings, the farmers should pay more attention to cultivation technique of the red union, due to the good cultivation techniques will affect the quality and quantity of red union production. Additionally the department of agriculture should provide training and mentoring for red union farmers in order to improve the knowledge of farmers.
