Plagiarism Policy
An-Nahdlah Edu: Journal of Elementary Education is committed to maintaining academic integrity and ensuring the originality of all published works. The journal strictly prohibits plagiarism in all forms and adopts a zero-tolerance policy toward unethical publication practices.
All submitted manuscripts will undergo plagiarism screening before entering the peer-review process using plagiarism detection software.
Definition of Plagiarism
Plagiarism includes, but is not limited to:
- Copying text, ideas, data, figures, tables, or research findings without proper acknowledgment;
- Presenting another person’s work as one’s own;
- Inadequate citation or attribution of sources;
- Self-plagiarism (reusing substantial portions of previously published work without proper citation);
- Duplicate publication and redundant submission;
- Paraphrasing without appropriate reference.
Any form of plagiarism is considered unethical and unacceptable.
Similarity Check Policy
All manuscripts submitted to An-Nahdlah Edu: Journal of Elementary Education are screened for similarity before peer review.
The journal applies the following similarity criteria:
- Maximum overall similarity index: 20%
- Maximum similarity from a single source: 5%
Manuscripts exceeding the allowed threshold may be:
- Returned to authors for revision;
- Rejected before peer review; or
- Rejected due to ethical misconduct when substantial plagiarism is identified.
The Editorial Board reserves the right to determine the acceptability of similarity results based on academic judgment.
Authors’ Responsibilities
Authors are responsible for ensuring that manuscripts submitted to the journal:
- Are original works;
- Have not been previously published;
- Are not simultaneously submitted to another journal;
- Properly cite all referenced sources;
- Comply with ethical publication standards.
Authors must obtain permission for any copyrighted materials used in the manuscript.
Editorial Actions Against Plagiarism
If plagiarism is identified at any stage, the Editorial Board may take the following actions:
Before Publication
- Immediate rejection of the manuscript;
- Request for revision and correction;
- Notification to the author(s).
After Publication
If plagiarism is discovered after publication, the journal may:
- Publish corrections or notices;
- Retract the article;
- Remove the article from the journal database when necessary;
- Notify the author’s institution if serious ethical violations occur.
Publication Ethics Compliance
The journal follows ethical standards and publication integrity principles established by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) and maintains strict measures to prevent publication misconduct.
