Author Guidelines

Authors who wish to submit manuscripts to An-Nahdlah Edu: Journal of Elementary Education are required to follow the guidelines below to ensure consistency, quality, and compliance with the journal standards.

1. General Requirements

  • Manuscripts must be original, unpublished, and not under consideration for publication elsewhere.
  • Submitted manuscripts should be relevant to the journal’s focus and scope in the field of elementary education.
  • Manuscripts may be written in English or Indonesian. Authors are encouraged to use clear, concise, and academically appropriate language.
  • All manuscripts must be submitted through the journal’s online submission system (OJS).

2. Manuscript Types

The journal accepts the following types of manuscripts:

  • Original Research Articles
  • Review Articles
  • Conceptual Papers

3. Manuscript Structure

Title

  • The title should be concise, informative, and reflect the content of the study.
  • Maximum length: 20 words.
  • Avoid abbreviations whenever possible.

Author Information

Authors should provide:

  • Full name(s) without academic titles
  • Institutional affiliation(s)
  • Country
  • ORCID ID (recommended)
  • Corresponding author email address

Abstract

  • The abstract should be written in English.
  • Length: 150–250 words.
  • The abstract should include:
    • Background
    • Objectives
    • Methods
    • Results
    • Conclusions
  • Avoid citations and uncommon abbreviations.

Keywords

Provide 3–5 keywords separated by semicolons (;).

Example:

Keywords: Elementary education; Learning innovation; Educational technology; Science learning

4. Manuscript Organization

Research articles should follow this structure:

1. Introduction

The introduction should contain:

  • Research background
  • Problem statement
  • Literature review
  • Research gap and novelty
  • Research objectives

2. Method

The methods section should clearly describe:

  • Research design
  • Participants/sample
  • Instruments
  • Data collection procedures
  • Data analysis techniques

3. Results and Discussion

Results and discussion may be presented separately or integrated.

The discussion should:

  • Interpret findings
  • Compare results with previous studies
  • Explain theoretical and practical implications

4. Conclusion

The conclusion should summarize the main findings and contributions of the study.

References

References should prioritize recent and relevant sources.

5. Manuscript Formatting

Authors should prepare manuscripts according to the following format:

  • File format: Microsoft Word (.doc/.docx)
  • Paper size: A4
  • Margins: 2.5 cm on all sides
  • Font: Times New Roman
  • Font size: 12 pt
  • Line spacing: 1.5
  • Length: 5,000–8,000 words
  • Page numbering: Bottom center

6. Citation and References

The journal uses APA Style (7th Edition).

Authors are encouraged to use reference management software such as:

  • Mendeley
  • Zotero
  • EndNote

At least 80% of references should originate from scientific journals published within the last 10 years.

DOI information should be included whenever available.

7. Tables and Figures

  • Tables and figures must be numbered consecutively.
  • Titles should be placed above tables and below figures.
  • Images should have adequate quality and resolution.
  • Authors are responsible for obtaining permission for copyrighted materials.

8. Publication Ethics

Authors must comply with the journal’s publication ethics and ethical standards.

The journal strictly prohibits:

  • Plagiarism
  • Data fabrication
  • Duplicate submission
  • Citation manipulation
  • Unethical authorship practices

All manuscripts will undergo similarity screening before peer review.

10. Article Processing Charges (APC)

An-Nahdlah Edu: Journal of Elementary Education currently does not charge any submission, processing, or publication fees.

11. Copyright and Licensing

Authors retain copyright of published articles.

Published articles will be distributed under the journal licensing policy and open-access provisions.
